FROM ANILL NETTO-DECLARATION ON NAJIB

Posted on July 3rd, 2008 by Nathaniel Tan

The declaration was made by P Balasubramaniam, Razak Baginda’s private investigator.
Here is the SD in full. Note Paras 25, 28, and 45-52. My sincere apologies to the family of the deceased if any part is deemed offensive.
STATUTORY DECLARATION
I, Balasubramaniam a/l Perumal a Malaysian Citizen of full age and residing at [deleted] do solemly and sincerely declare as follows :-
1. I have been a police officer with the Royal Malaysian Police Force having jointed as a constable in 1981 attached to the Police Field Force. I was then promoted to the rank of lance Corporal and finally resigned from the Police Force in 1998 when I was with the Special Branch.
2. I have been working as a free lance Private Investigator since I left the Police Force.
3. Sometime in June or July 2006, I was employed by Abdul Razak Baginda for a period of 10 days to look after him at his office at the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang between the hours of 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m each working day as apparently he was experiencing disturbances from a third party.
4. I resigned from this job after 2 ½ days as I was not receiving any proper instructions.
5. I was however re-employed by Abdul Razak Baginda on the 05-10-2006 as he had apparently received a harassing phone call from a Chinese man calling himself ASP Tan who had threatened him to pay his debts. I later found out this gentleman was in fact a private investigator called Ang who was employed by a Mongolian woman called Altantuya Shaaribuu.
6. Abdul Razak Baginda was concerned that a person by the name of Altantuya Shaaribuu, a Mongolian woman, was behind this threat and that she would be arriving in Malaysia very soon to try and contact him.
7. Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that he was concerned by this as he had been advised that Altantuya Shaaribuu had been given some powers by a Mongolian ‘bomoh’ and that he could never look her in the face because of this.
8. When I enquired as to who this Mongolian woman was, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that she was a friend of his who had been introduced to him by a VIP and who asked him to look after her financially.
9. I advised him to lodge a police report concerning the threatening phone call he had received from the Chinese man known as ASP Tan but he refused to do so as he informed me there were some high profile people involved.
10. Abdul Razak Baginda further told me that Altantuya Shaaribuu was a great liar and good in convincing people. She was supposed to have been very demanding financially and that he had even financed a property for her in Mongolia.
11. Abdul Razak Baginda then let me listen to some voice messages on his handphone asking him to pay what was due otherwise he would be harmed and his daughter harassed.
12. I was therefore supposed to protect his daughter Rowena as well.
13. On the 09.10.2006 I received a phone call from Abdul Razak Baginda at about 9.30 a.m. informing me that Altantuya was in his office and he wanted me there immediately. As I was in the midst of a surveillance, I sent my assistant Suras to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office and I followed a little later. Suras managed to control the situation and had persuaded Altantuya and her two friends to leave the premises. However Altantuya left a note written on some Hotel Malaya note paper, in English, asking Abdul Razak Baginda to call her on her handphone (number given) and wrote down her room number as well.
14. Altantuya had introduced herself to Suras as ‘Aminah’ and had informed Suras she was there to see her boyfriend Abdul Razak Baginda.
15. These 3 Mongolian girls however returned to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office at the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang again, the next day at about 12.00 noon. They did not enter the building but again informed Suras that they wanted to meet Aminah’s boyfriend, Abdul Razak Baginda.
16. On the 11.10.2006, Aminah returned to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office on her own and gave me a note to pass to him, which I did. Abdul Razak Baginda showed me the note which basically asked him to call her urgently.
17. I suggested to Abdul Razak Baginda that perhaps it may be wise to arrange for Aminah to be arrested if she harassed him further, but he declined as he felt she would have to return to Mongolia as soon as her cash ran out.
18. In the meantime I had arranged for Suras to perform surveillance on Hotel Malaya to monitor the movements of these 3 Mongolian girls, but they recognized him. Apparently they become friends with Suras after that and he ended up spending a few nights in their hotel room.
19. When Abdul Razak Baginda discovered Suras was becoming close to Aminah he asked me to pull him out from Hotel Malaya.
20. On the 14.10.2006, Aminah turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house in Damansara Heights when I was not there. Abdul Razak Baginda called me on my handphone to inform me of this so I rushed back to his house. As I arrived, I noticed Aminah outside the front gates shouting “Razak, bastard, come out from the house”. I tried to calm her down but couldn’t so I called the police who arrived in 2 patrol cars. I explained the situation to the police, who took her away to the Brickfields police station.
21. I followed the patrol cars to Brickfields police station in a taxi. I called Abdul Razak Baginda and his lawyer Dirren to lodge a police report but they refused.
22. When I was at the Brickfields police station, Aminah’s own Private Investigator, one Mr. Ang arrived and we had a discussion. I was told to deliver a demand to Abdul Razak Baginda for USD$500,000.00 and 3 tickets to Mongolia, apparently as commission owed to Aminah from a deal in Paris.
23. As Aminah had calmed down at this stage, a policewoman at the Brickfields police station advised me to leave and settle the matter amicably.
24. I duly informed Abdul Razak Baginda of the demands Aminah had made and told him I was disappointed that no one wanted to back me up in lodging a police report. We had a long discussion about the situation when I expressed a desire to pull out of this assignment.
25. During this discussion and in an attempt to persuade me to continue my employment with him, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that :-
25.1 He had been introduced to Aminah by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at a diamond exhibition in Singapore.
25.2 Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak informed Abdul Razak Baginda that he had a sexual relationship with Aminah and that she was susceptible to anal intercourse.
25.3 Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak wanted Abdul Razak Baginda to look after Aminah as he did not want her to harass him since he was now the Deputy Prime Minister.
25.4 Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Abdul Razak Baginda and Aminah had all been together at a dinner in Paris.
25.5 Aminah wanted money from him as she felt she was entitled to a USD$500,000.00 commission on a submarine deal she assisted with in Paris.
26. On the 19.10.2006, I arrived at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house in Damansara Heights to begin my night duty. I had parked my car outside as usual. I saw a yellow proton perdana taxi pass by with 3 ladies inside, one of whom was Aminah. The taxi did a U-turn and stopped in front of the house where these ladies rolled down the window and wished me ‘Happy Deepavali’. The taxi then left.
27. About 20 minutes later the taxi returned with only Aminah in it. She got out of the taxi and walked towards me and started talking to me. I sent an SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda informing him “Aminah was here”. I received an SMS from Razak instructing me “To delay her until my man comes”.
28. Whist I was talking to Aminah, she informed me of the following :-
28.1 That she met Abdul Razak Baginda in Singapore with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
28.2 That she had also met Abdul Razak Baginda and Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at a dinner in Paris.
28.3 That she was promised a sum of USD$500,000.00 as commission for assisting in a Submarine deal in Paris.
28.4 That Abdul Razak Baginda had bought her a house in Mongolia but her brother had refinanced it and she needed money to redeem it.
28.5 That her mother was ill and she needed money to pay for her treatment.
6. That Abdul Razak Baginda had married her in Korea as her mother is Korean whilst her father was a Mongolian/Chinese mix.
28.7 That if I wouldn’t allow her to see Abdul Razak Baginda, would I be able to arrange for her to see Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
29. After talking to Aminah for about 15 minutes, a red proton aeroback arrived with a woman and two men. I now know the woman to be Lance Corporal Rohaniza and the men, Azilah Hadri and Sirul Azahar. They were all in plain clothes. Azilah walked towards me while the other two stayed in the car.
30. Azilah asked me whether the woman was Aminah and I said ‘Yes’. He then walked off and made a few calls on his handphone. After 10 minutes another vehicle, a blue proton saga, driven by a Malay man, passed by slowly. The drivers window had been wound down and the driver was looking at us.
31. Azilah then informed me they would be taking Aminah away. I informed Aminah they were arresting her. The other two persons then got out of the red proton and exchanged seats so that Lance Corporal Rohaniza and Aminah were in the back while the two men were in the front. They drove off and that is the last I ever saw of Aminah.
32. Abdul Razak Baginda was not at home when all this occurred.
33. After the 19.10.2006, I continued to work for Abdul Razak Baginda at his house in Damansara Heights from 7.00 p.m. to 8.00 a.m. the next morning, as he had been receiving threatening text messages from a woman called ‘Amy’ who was apparently ‘Aminah’s’ cousin in Mongolia.
34. On the night of the 20.10.2006, both of Aminah’s girl friends turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house enquiring where Aminah was. I informed them she had been arrested the night before.
35. A couple of nights later, these two Mongolian girls, Mr. Ang and another Mongolian girl called ‘Amy’ turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house looking for Aminah as they appeared to be convinced she was being held in the house.
36. A commotion began so I called the police who arrived shortly thereafter in a patrol car. Another patrol car arrived a short while later in which was the investigating officer from the Dang Wangi Police Station who was in charge of the missing persons report lodged by one of the Mongolians girls, I believe was Amy.
37. I called Abdul Razak Baginda who was at home to inform him of the events taking place at his front gate. He then called DSP Musa Safri and called me back informing me that Musa Safri would be calling handphone and I was to pass the phone to the Inspector from Dang Wangi Police Station.
38. I then received a call on my handphone from Musa Safri and duly handed the phone to the Dang Wangi Inspector. The conversation lasted 3 – 4 minutes after which he told the girls to disperse and to go to see him the next day.
39. On or about the 24.10.2006, Abdul Razak Baginda instructed me to accompany him to the Brickfields police station as he had been advised to lodge a police report about the harassment he was receiving from these Mongolian girls.
40. Before this, Amy had sent me an SMS informing me she was going to Thailand to lodge a report with the Mongolian consulate there regarding Aminah’s disappearance. Apparently she had sent the same SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda. This is why he told me he had been advised to lodge a police report.
41. Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that DPS Musa Safri had introduced him to one DSP Idris, the head of the Criminal division, Brickfields police station, and that Idris had referred him to ASP Tonny.
42. When Abdul Razak Baginda had lodged his police report at Brickfields police station, in front of ASP Tonny, he was asked to make a statement but he refused as he said he was leaving for overseas. He did however promise to prepare a statement and hand ASP Tonny a thumb drive. I know that this was not done as ASP Tonny told me.
43. However ASP Tonny asked me the next day to provide my statement instead and so I did.
44. I stopped working for Abdul Razak Baginda on the 26.10.2006 as this was the day he left for Hong Kong on his own.
45. In mid November 2006, I received a phone call from ASP Tonny from the IPK Jalan Hang Tuah asking me to see him regarding Aminah’s case. When I arrived there I was immediately arrested under S.506 of the Penal Code for Criminal intimidation.
46. I was then placed in the lock up and remanded for 5 days. On the third day I was released on police bail.
47. At the end of November 2006, the D9 department of the IPK sent a detective to my house to escort me to the IPK Jalan Hang Tuah. When I arrived, I was told I was being arrested under S.302 of the Penal Code for murder. I was put in the lock up and remanded for 7 days.
48. I was transported to Bukit Aman where I was interrogated and questioned about an SMS I had received from Abdul Razak Baginda on the 19.10.2006 which read “delay her until my man arrives”. They had apparently retrieved this message from Abdul Razak Baginda’s handphone.
49. They then proceeded to record my statement from 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. everyday for 7 consecutive days. I told them all I knew including everything Abdul Razak Baginda and Aminah had told me about their relationships with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak but when I came to sign my statement, these details had been left out.
50. I have given evidence in the trial of Azilah, Sirul and Abdul Razak Baginda at the Shah Alam High Court. The prosecutor did not ask me any questions in respect of Aminah’s relationship with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak or of the phone call I received from DSP Musa Safri, whom I believe was the ADC for Datuk Seri Najib Razak and/or his wife.
51. On the day Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested, I was with him at his lawyers office at 6.30 a.m. Abdul Razak Baginda informed us that he had sent Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak an SMS the evening before as he refused to believe he was to be arrested, but had not received a response.
52. Shortly thereafter, at about 7.30 a.m., Abdul Razak Baginda received an SMS from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and showed, this message to both myself and his lawyer. This message read as follows :- “ I am seeing IGP at 11.00 a.m. today …… matter will be solved … be cool”.
53. I have been made to understand that Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested the same morning at his office in the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang.
54. The purpose of this Statutory declaration is to :-
54.1 State my disappointment at the standard of investigations conducted by the authorities into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.
54.2 Bring to the notice of the relevant authorities the strong possibility that there are individuals other than the 3 accused who must have played a role in the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.
54.3 Persuade the relevant authorities to reopen their investigations into this case immediately so that any fresh evidence may be presented to the Court prior to submissions at the end of the prosecutions case.
54.4 Emphasize the fact that having been a member of the Royal Malaysian Police Force for 17 years I am absolutely certain no police officer would shoot someone in the head and blow up their body without receiving specific instructions from their superiors first.
54.5. Express my concern that should the defence not be called in the said murder trial, the accused, Azilah and Sirul will not have to swear on oath and testify as to the instructions they received and from whom they were given.
55. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same be true and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory Declaration Act 1960.

Rupa-rupanya, ini Saiful Bukhari! *

Posted on Tuesday, July 01, 2008 @ 20:40:47 MYT by zainulfaqarOLEH: Sdri. Ainis Azreen

BONGKAR!!! -Memang seekor MUSANG!
Satu persoalan, atas pembiayaan siapa?
Kebimbangan kami nyata berasas.

ANWAR LODGE REPORT AGAINST IGP, AG-MALAYSIAKINI

Anwar lodges report against IGP, AG
Jul 1, 08 12:56pm
PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim today lodged a police report against police chief Musa Hassan and attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail for allegedly fabricating evidence in his trials 10 years ago.
MCPX
Anwar arrived at the Selangor state police headquarters in Shah Alam at about 2.50pm, accompanied by his lawyer Sankara Nair.Four of his party leaders, including vice president R Sivarasa and treasurer William Leong, had arrived much earlier at about 2.20pm and waited for Anwar to come to lodge the report.Outside the station, several other party leaders, including two of PKR's MPs N Gobalakrishnan and Yusmadi Yusoff, were disappointed that they weren't allowed into the station to accompany Anwar to lodge the report.
Even Anwar's daughter Nurul Izzah was not allowed into the station, creating some tension at the entrance. The police said that they would only allow five people in to lodge the report.
Some 30 supporters had also gathered outside the station.
After some 30 minutes, Anwar left the station - at about 3.20pm - to the PKR headquarters in Tropicana, Petaling Jaya where he is expected to hold a press conference.
Rally tonight
Anwar had earlier said that he had evidence implicating the inspector-general of police and attorney-general in the misconduct, including fabrication of evidence in the cases launched against him after his sacking from government. At that time, police chief Musa was the investigating officer of the charges against Anwar while AG Gani Patail was the chief prosecutor.
He added that a new police report lodged against him for sodomy was a result of "interested parties to attack me in retaliation" over this evidence in his possession. The report alleging sodomy was filed by Anwar's aide, 23-year-old Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, last Saturday.Anwar claimed that the fresh accusation against him was a "complete fabrication".Later tonight, PKR plans to hold a rally at the Stadium Melawati in Shah Alam, scheduled to kick off at 8.30pm.

A CRAZY WEEKEND IN KUALA LUMPUR

A crazy weekend in Kuala Lumpur
Anwar emerged from the Turkish embassy yesterday evening. I didn’t think he could stay in there for long, given that it would have created a major diplomatic stand-off between the two countries. Farish Noor was in KL over the weekend - and returned to Singapore feeling deeply concerned about events in the capital. This article was originally meant to go on the Aliran website, but the website has gone down due to a sudden surge around the same time Anwar walked out of the embassy. (Update: The website has now been restored. According to the webhosting service’s support, the website came under attack from two IP addresses, which bombarded the website with close to 60,000 hits.) So here’s guest writer Farish making a special appearance on this blog with his take of events over the weekend:
A crazy weekend
By Farish A Noor
Its been a long time since I’ve had a weekend as crazy as the one that has just passed. Travelling back to KL by bus I was looking forward to a relaxed weekend with my significant other, and to giving the odd lecture or two in the process. What was meant to be a nice, relaxing break from my work after taking part in a strenuous conference on transnationalism and religion turned out to be a kafka-esque moment extended over 48 hours, from which I am reeling till now.
For a start, the public forum on the Social Contract organised by the Bar Council which I took part in attracted more controversy than was warranted. How odd that in this day and age, when Malaysia is half a decade old, discussion on things as mundane as the social contract - that would have been a catalyst for yawns and snores in any other country - could have been seen as something so controversial that it even warranted more than a minute of news coverage the next day. Dazed and flabbergasted by the reaction of some, I found comfort in the words of the President of the Bar Council, who reminded us all that we, Malaysians, are now a mature and civil society where we can speak of such things in an intelligent, rational and objective manner.
Three hours later I found myself at a public reading at a gallery in Bangsar where my better half was reading an excerpt from her newly-published book. She chose to read an article on the fate of our fellow Malaysian citizen Lina Joy, and I was struck by the appreciation and goodwill of those present who listened to her attentively and congratulated her for writing what she did. It was a mixed gathering that indicated to me that a new, brave and bold young Malaysia was in the process of being born. The hall was full of Malaysians from all walks of life; the young and old, Malaysians of every conceivable ethnic, linguistic, cultural, religious and class background. And yet there we were: the Malaysia of today, mixed and complex, hybrid and confident of our plural identity. How wonderful to live in such a country, where newness is still not a distant dream and renewal a constant possibility.
I felt proud to be a Malaysian then, and proud to be among other Malaysian-minded Malaysians who were colour-blind and open to dialogue and engagement in the most meaningful sense of the word.
The very next day I woke up to a flurry of sms-es informing me that Anwar Ibrahim had taken refuge in the Turkish embassy and that a police report had been filed against him on the charge of sodomy. My immediate reaction was one of disbelief. What?? Again?? Were some of my friends playing a sick joke on me, on a Sunday morning to boot?
Apparently not. And in the course of the day dozens of sms-es invaded the small confine of my handphone to keep me updated on what was going on and things were going pear-shaped very fast. At this stage, it is too early to predict what will happen as a result of these allegations, but by the end of the day I found myself besieged by calls from TV and radio stations the world over for comments on the events as they unfolded. As was the case in 1998, Anwar is back in the headlines all over the world for all the wrong reasons.
Thus it has come to pass that we in Malaysia are witnessing the slow and painful birth of a new Malaysia where the forces of change are constantly having to struggle against the forces of inertia and reaction. There is no need to dwell on the nature of the charges or how this latest episode of Malaysia’s political drama will play out; suffice to say that the convulsions will be long and laborious, as in the case of any birth.
What is clear, however, is this: In every single conversation I had with every single Malaysian I met in KL and on my way back to my office in Singapore, I was confronted with the same statement repeated ad infinitum: We don’t believe it. If the charges in 1998 were false, why should they be true today? Faith, it should be noted, is not merely a matter of religion but also of politics; and in politics political credibility counts for everything. Over the past ten years the reputation of Malaysia’s governmental, judicial and security institutions have taken such a battering that public confidence is at an all-time low.
I will not entertain the many conspiracy theories that are making the rounds at the moment as I have grown tired and immune to them, as most Malaysians have I’m sure. But the political scientist in me is worried about what all this may do to our common faith in the idea of Malaysia itself, and whether the Malaysian project can sustain such battering for much longer. Others, like my friends Haris Ibrahim and Malik Imtiaz, have already beaten me to the keyboard and raised questions that need to be asked concerning this latest political hot potato. The timing, context and purpose of these revelations and accusations have been questioned by some. And we have also been reminded of the wider context against which this is all happening, at a time when allegations made about those who may or may not have been involved and present at the brutal slaying of the Mongolian woman Altantuya were already making the rounds on the internet and grabbing the headlines of the mainstream press.
I can only concur with the opinion of Malik Imtiaz when he raises the pertinent and timely point: “Somehow, the sexual proclivities of an individual, whether real or fantasised, do not seem to matter when the country is facing a financial crisis largely due to fat cats having looted and pillaged their way through national resources, seemingly at will”, while “Morgan Stanley has indicated that some RM330 billion has been dissipated from Malaysia through corruption falls even lower on the list of priorities (if it was on the list at all)”.
Enough said, I think.

FILEM : SODO MEE PART TWO- Hishamuddin Rais
Jun 30, 2008 in Uncategorized
In best punya Sodo Mee beb. Makan tak habis.
Woit! Ada berapa ribu kondo di sana? Yang mana satu kondo yang betul. Ini nampaknya bukan filem Sodo Mee Part Two.
Macam mana nak menegang Sodo Mee kalau kondo belum siap. BerSodo Mee atas simen sakit…. beb. Tak percaya cuba try. Kah kah kah. Inilah filem kita berwajah kita.
Woit! Brad Pittail.
Brad Pittail dipilih menjadi pengarah, bukan kerana dia bijak tetapi kerana dia bernasib baik.
( Siapa Aman Belon ? Gua penonton filem Melayu yang setia. Gua tahu siapa Aman Belon. Muka Mat Hitam itu macam muka Aman Belon. Kalau tidak caya sila tanya Bapak Saudara gua Lebai Google.)
Apakah perlunya bergambar di dalam opis TPM? Siapa Mamat Hitam Pendek ini? Apa peranan dia dalam filem ini? Aku rasa Mamat Hitam ini adalah Mamat Bottom. Kalau muka gebu macam dia ini, kalau gua pengarah gua minta dia berlakon jadi hantu. Macam Aman Belon dalam cerita Pontianak. Mesti Rosmah…. opps Maria Menado menjadi takut.
Lagi suspens. Lagi erotik. Inilah skrip filem Melayu kantoi all the time.
Kah kah kah. Filem kita berwajah kita.
Kah kah kah. Filem kita berwajah kita. END

WHAT SUSAN LOONE SAYS

We have become a nation of sodomy.

I felt sick to read somewhere that people are comparing the statutory declaration of Raja Petra Kamaruddin and the police report of Saiful Bukhairy. How can it be compared, one is a murder case, where the perpetrators (if guilty) get hanged, while the other, can be imprisoned for up to 20 years, and out by 6 (with good behaviour)? In one case, the body of the victim is blasted into a million pieces, in the other, there is probably a little tear in the asshole. I believe for some, loyalty to politicians have blinded their sense of justice beyond repair.
* In case you are new to this blog, Raja Petra has a SD on the deputy prime minister’s wife Rosmah Mansor, that she was at the crime scene of a murder of a Mongolian woman named Altantuya Shariibuu; while Saiful had recently lodged a police report claiming that Anwar Ibrahim had sodomised him.
2. While a SD and a police report are in place, we can see the difference in which the police and media have reacted to the two cases. In the case of the SD, the silence was deafening although blogs and online news reported it, while in the second, it looks like almost a royal celebration that Anwar Ibrahim had F*** someone in his butt. The same it was for Chua Soi Lek’s sex scandal on VCD.
There is some similarity though with the cases of Anwar and Chua- both are sex related, and both claimed political assasination.
3. It’s quite laughable that people are telling others to let the police investigate this case. Haven’t they learnt anything? Anwar had declared he had evidence against IGP Musa Hassan and AG Gani Patail. Now, how can you expect the police to function properly in this case? All have become interested parties. There has to be an independent party to carry out investigation, but who?
4. Some people ask me if sodomy is possible between an old man and a young chiko. Anything is possible, I tell them. How can we judge by just looking at people’s age? But we have to remember 1998, where Sodomy Part I happenned. Where all the political intrigues happenned. Where evidence were skewed to arrive at only one conclusion: Guilty. And if you can still believe Sodomy Part II, after Sodomy Part I, then let me just say “God Bless you”.
5. I don’t really appreciate the personality attacks on the alleged victim: Saiful Bukhairy. As a citizen, he has a right to make a police report. I don’t appreciate Anwar’s counter attack by using the defamation act. Lawyer Charles Hector says, that it is against Pakatan Rakyat’s ideals to do this as any Malaysian is equal in the eyes of the law. What if everytime someone makes a police report, he gets sued for defamation? Then, I believe, the entire justice system will fall apart. Anwar can do well to be generous: “May Allah forgive this young man. I never sodomised him,” is all Anwar should say, if he is innocent. But it seems, there are two victims here: one is a victim of alleged sodomy, the other, a victim of sodomy, too, but by his political enemies.
As it stands now, the boy Saiful has gone into hiding, so has his alleged perpetrator. And Malaysians are once again alive, what with this sex scandal making waves day after day. Even Saiful’s fiancee is not spared, her photo making its round in the internet. As I said earlier, blind loyalty to a politician can really blind till people become heartless. To the fiancee: I don’t blame you if you sue those who take you for a ride and think they can gain some hits, and popularity by exposing your photos.
6. Saiful, it seems, is buddy with many UMNO-lites. And that is exactly Anwar’s and PKR’s problem. So desperate they are for members and supporters, anyone goes. At least, have some discretion, especially if someone is to be taken in as a personal aide. Have they no principles or strategy for their recruitment section? Do some background check lah. If the answer is NO, then Anwar deserves this, and PKR will continue to be sodomised by its arch enemies.
7. As for the media (not intended for Malaysiakini) having a field day: it is not about ‘breaking news’ or ‘news flash’ or even ‘exclusives’. It’s about saving their own skin. I don’t think the media bosses are happy when 16 September comes. The day that Anwar vowed he will form a new government. Imagine how many of these ‘bosses’ will be sacked or whipped till their pants tear when Anwar and his lot comes to power? There goes the answer to why is there such a media flurry over an alleged sodomite but total silence when it comes to murder?
8. Malaysian Insider says that these are “confusing and uncertain days”. I don’t see it as such. It is very clear and certain that Barisan Nasional/UMNO is no longer able to take the heat or shame of having lost so badly on March 8, that the all out war is on. This lot does not respect the people’s wishes for a new Malaysia, and their paid agents - the police, the media and others are all conspiring to ensure that it does not take place. However, from where I see things, this episode will only hasten the dying of a greedy and corrupt race (not by ethnicity). This race is called BN/UMNO.
Can’t they see that people no longer believe such lies, even if they were true. Therein lies the danger. The line between lies and truth are no longer discernable. This is what happens at World’s end, doesn’t it?
I don’t blame others for calling us a sodomised nation. We’ve become quite a joke for others, you know.

KENYATAAN AKHBAR PAKATAN RAKYAT

Dokongan Terhadap Gabungan PROTES

Anwar sodomising again?…
June 29, 2008 by drrafick

Dear Fellow Malaysians

I am sadden by the news that Anwar aide’s, En Saiful Bahari has lodge a police report claiming that he was sodomized by Anwar. There was no details mention in the news about the alleged sodomy police report. It is indeed sad, if this allegation is found to be true. It is more sad if it is found to be untrue and is politically motivated

Why now !

While SMS is being spread and Anwar supporters has now begins to gather around him, it raises some questions on the issue of the latest police report. As if we are still not over the reeling of shock surrounding RPK SD over Najib’s wife involvement in the Althantuya case, the nation is now being fed with another story.

On the surface, it appears that, the allegation was made while Rosmah (Najib) issue is being talked about. With this new story, I believe the alleged Rosmah involvement in the Althantuya murder will be drown in the heaps of media “explosion” over the Anwar case.

I worries for the Nation..

While I am not surprised by the latest police report, I am worried about the impact of this latest police report. Allow me to explain why.

Pak Lah is not Mahathir..

While Mahathir is respected as being one of the intelligent leaders the world ever produces, he is a political maverick. He was able to handle Anwar case calmly and was able to bring the nation back on its track despite the financial crisis.

The same cannot be said about Pak Lah. Our present PM is indeed a nice man but being a nice man is not enough to lead a nation. I am worried that Anwar supporters will start a riot. Compared to before, today five states government are behind Anwar and this can only creates more problems. I am worried that the Government of the day may not be able to handle a nationwide riot. I am one very worried man. I am worried about the country, my family and my neighbors.

If in the Mahathir- Anwar crisis, the people was angry but they were not actually burden but today the people is angry. They are burden by the high cost of living. I believe many people out there believe Anwar story that he could actually brings down the cost of fuel and i.e. the cost of living. I am afraid that the people that is worst affected by the fuel price hike may just use this latest situation to release their steam. Today, the ball game is different. The playing field is not the same in 1998. Today people are upset and I think it is unwise for anyone to pour petrol on something that is hot.

Anwar and its people backlash…

Anwar and his people are not about to sit down and do nothing with this new allegation. Based on what was reported in M/Kini and M/Today, there are already people gathering in Shah Alam. I urged all people to remain calm. I urge all state government to remain neutral. The new allegation is a personal matter between two individuals.

Whom am I referring to? While some would postulate that is a matter between Saiful and Anwar but if you stretch your imagination a little bit more then you will realized that it is probably a political game between the nation power brokers. This is not a simple issue of sodomy.

Power brokers fighting?

There is a malay proverb that says “ Bila Gajah bergaduh, Pelanduk mati ditengah tengah”. Use your imagination and guess what I mean. Guess who is the “Gajah” . Guess who is the “pelanduk”. In my assessment, Pak Lah is not the “Gajah” (he is more like a tapir!) and the people is the “Pelanduk”. We need to ask who would benefit from the latest round of police report. By the way, isn’t Gajah is the official mascot of one state in Malaysia.

I urge all Malaysian to remain calm. I want to give the same advice that I gave to my troops while I was serving the Army during the height of Anwar – Mahathir crisis. My men listen to me that time and I hope all readers would spare some thoughts on what I am about to say.

“The Sermon”

Politics is never about the people in the streets. Politics is about power and position. No matters whoever goes up, the “real” interest is not the people but it is about power and position. No matter who wins in this power struggle, the people will not gain anything. Rioting will not bring any good to the people. It will make things worst.

My advice to everyone is to stay at home and watch a movie or spend time with their family. That is better. Even is Anwar goes up, he cannot do any miracle of the nation coffer is empty. He can only deliver his promises if he can find ways to increase the nation’s income. I believe any riots will reduce the nation income further. At the current moment, I have my doubt that Anwar can actually raise the nation income and deliver his promises to reduce the people cost of living.

Making promises is one thing and delivering what is being promised is another matter. Do not expect miracles at the time when the whole world is feeling the pinch of fuel speculators. I say it again, stay out of this fight between all power brokers. Do not give an excuse for the Federal Government to impose martial law and take over the governance of the five states. Think again, think hard and think rationally.

KENYATAAN AKHBAR HUSAM MUSA

Liwat: Usaha terancang sekat kemaraan Pakatan kuasai Putrajaya
Salmah Mat Husain
Sun Jun 29, 08 6:41:08 pm MYT

- mj _

ANWAR TAKES REFUGE IN TURKISH EMBASSY

Anwar takes refuge in Turkish embassy
Jun 29, 08 5:48pm
PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, who said he feared for his life, has sought refuge at the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur this morning.
MCPXHe went to the embassy at 6am and according to PKR vice-president, he would be there "indefinitely".
The following is his full statement released at 5.30pm:
I am issuing this statement from within the embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Kuala Lumpur.
I was transported to the embassy earlier this morning fearing that my personal safety was in danger. I thank all those who offered to assist me in this time of need and am grateful to the Turkish ambassador for extending an invitation to seek refuge within the embassy.Since the March 8 elections, numerous credible sources from within the government and military intelligence have advised me that certain agents from within Barisan Nasional leadership have initiated plots to cause harm to me or my family or my supporters.
I have been told that my assassination has not been ruled out as means to subvert the people's will and bring an end to the transformational changes taking place in Malaysia.Notwithstanding the threats which are intended to silence my voice, I intend make public new evidence implicating that the inspector-general of police Musa Hassan and attorney-general A Gani Patail engaged in criminal acts of fabricating evidence in cases launched against me in 1998.
The allegations that have been made against me on Saturday are nothing more than a replay of the events which transpired in 1998 when I was sacked from the office of the deputy prime minister, jailed and beaten, and then charged and convicted by a kangaroo court for crimes which I never committed.
This charade was orchestrated by a corrupt Barisan Nasional leadership which made use of the entire apparatus of the state power including its control of the judiciary, the police force, and its grip on the mainstream media.
These actions are being repeated today to undermine the forces of reform and renewal which were unleashed in the March 2008 elections.I would like to assure my family, friends and supporters in Malaysia that I am safe and remain committed as ever before to continuing the struggle for a free and just Malaysia.

ANWAR DAKWA LAPORAN SATU TINDAK BALAS-MALAYSIAKINI

Anwar dakwa laporan polis satu tindak balas

Jun 29, 08 2:19am

AIDE ALLEGES SODOMY;REPORT LODGE

Aide alleges sodomy: Report lodged
Jun 28, 08 11:03pm
A police report has been lodged against PKR
MCPXde facto leader Anwar Ibrahim for allegedly sodomosing one of his aides - the second time that such an accusation had been made in over 10 years.
The report was lodged by the 23-year-old alleged victim at the Jalan Travers police station at 6pm.
KL police chief Muhammad Sabtu Osman confirmed that the report had been made. The man has been sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a medical examination.
"Yes, we have received a police report from an aide of Anwar Ibrahim that he was sodomised. But no, we will not arrest Anwar at the moment," added deputy federal police chief Ismail Omar."We will investigate this report first. We will look into it and carry out the necessary steps before issuing any warrant of arrest," he was quoted by AFP.
It is learnt that Anwar met with a number of party leaders at an emergency meeting late tonight.
At 11.15pm, PKR sent out an SMS message stating that the police had detained Anwar's special aide Saiful Bahari this afternoon and forced him to lodge a police report about being sodomised by his boss.It added that the police are expected to arrest Anwar soon.Meanwhile, Anwar is expected to comment on this latest crisis at a pre-arranged press conference tomorrow.
The press conference is scheduled to be held after a meeting between Anwar and all PKR members of parliament and state assemblypersons.
Anwar expecting the worst
Party sources said that Anwar was chairing a party supreme council meeting at a hotel in Shah Alam when he received an SMS at about 9pm on Saturday night about the police report lodged against him.He apparently then told the party leaders that his aide Saiful had been missing for two days."He then received another SMS at about 9.30pm and his face changed dramatically after reading that SMS," a party insider told Malaysiakini."He did not reveal the details of the SMS but merely said that the situation was very serious," added the insider.Anwar is said to have left the supreme council meeting to meet his lawyers until about 11pm.The council however continued their meeting without Anwar.Party leaders are saying that they have to be prepared for any eventuality.
DAP's veteran leader Lim Kit Siang wrote in his blog that he had spoken to Anwar over the phone and that the PKR leader was expecting the worst.Press statement at 1.30am
Anwar issued a press statement at about 1.30am, saying that the report lodged against him was a "complete fabrication".The following his statement in full:"The police report lodged against me earlier today is a complete fabrication. I believe we are witnessing a repeat of the methods used against me in 1998 when false allegations were made under duress. This is clearly a desperate attempt by the Barisan Nasional regime to arrest the movement of the Malaysian people towards freedom, democracy and justice. "The report has been organised by interested parties to attack me in retaliation for evidence I have recently obtained implicating IGP (inpector-general of police) Musa Hassan and the AG (attorney-general) Gani Patail in misconduct including fabrication of evidence in the cases launched against me in 1998-1999. This vile attack will not prevent me from releasing this dossier to the public. "I urge the Malaysian people to stand against the repressive forces that will be unleashed by the government in the coming days and weeks. We expect the media, the judiciary and the police force to all come under the direct and unchecked control of the executive. "My fellow Malaysians - we took a bold step forward on March 8 towards a new dawn for freedom and justice for all of our citizens. This people's movement for change must go on with all of our strength and conviction."
Accused of sodomy in 1997
Meanwhile, at about 1am about 400 people had gathered outside the hotel in Shah Alam to ensure that nothing happened to Anwar.
The party leaders and Anwar's lawyer SN Nair also held a press conference at the Shah Alam hotel at about 1.30am where they distributed Anwar's statement. Anwar, a former deputy prime minister and finance minister of Malaysia, was sacked from the government in 1997 for allegedly being involved in sodomy and abuse of power.
In 1999, he was sentenced in a highly controversial trial to six years in prison for corruption, and in 2000, to another nine years for alleged homosexual acts.
However in 2004, the Federal Court - the country's highest court - reversed the second conviction and he was released.
Anwar has always maintained that the charges were a government hatched political conspiracy against him, a move denied by the government.
