Anwar to have audience with King this week
PETALING JAYA, Oct 6 (Sin Chew Daily) – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to have an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong soon to brief the King that he has the support of majority of Members of Parliament to form the new government.
It is learned that Anwar will very likely have an audience with the King tomorrow, but this will only be confirmed tonight.
Anwar told all PKR MPs yesterday via a video conference that he should be seeing the King within this week.
"He was present at the meeting briefly. He told everyone to be patient and wait for the King to summon him to the Palace."
A PKR leader who prefers to remain anonymous told Sin Chew Daily Anwar now has the support of 126 MPs, up from 123 earlier. Some supporters have left but we have new supporters from Sabah.
"Although many Umno MPs have denied they support Anwar, from the responses of Umno and PPBM, we can tell they know the situation has changed."
