Out of the top 20 countries in the world, 4 of them are in Southeast Asia. The Philippines ranks the highest with rice imports of 3.8 million metric tons, Indonesia ranks third in the world with 2.5 million metric tons, Vietnam with 1.4 million, and Malaysia with 1.2 million.
The question is, is importing this much rice a good thing? Lets discuss!
