Saturday, 8th August 2009 CM Lim Guan Eng was at the launching of One Million Apologies to Mother Earth at Gurney Drive which is an environmental effort. CJ Chan Lilian asked the CM where the villagers of Kampung Buah Pala go from here because they had not signed the acceptance of the ex-gratia compensation offered by Nusmetro, the developer.She also questioned about the claims by certain quarters that this issue has ethnicity relations. CM Lim Guan Eng said, It is not about race.
