Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng declared Penang to be the first in Malaysia to have an All Terrain Vehicle as an ambulance or called The Lions Ambulance. In a charity dinner organized by the Lions of District 308B2, CM Lim Guan Eng received the donated ambulance from Lions Kenneth Saw together with RM50,000 for the Penang Hard Core Poverty Funds. CM Lim then handed over the mock key of the Lions Ambulance to Dato'Dr. Yee Thiam Sun of St. John Ambulance, Penang.In his speech, CM Lim said a total of RM2 milliion donations have been collected so far through the Public Private Partnership between Penang State Government and the private and civil sectors. He joked that contrary to the popular image of Penangites being very stingy, they have proven that they are not stingy but thrifty and caring.
Sebanyak RM 2juta berjaya dikumpul oleh kerajaan negeri bagi membantu masyarakat miskin dan juga bagi kemudahan membeli kereta sakit dan juga membantu yang miskin.Ianya dikumpul melalui syarikat Lions dan juga sektor swasta dan juga individu bagi membantu yang kurang bernasib baik.
Beliau mendakwa bahawa hanay di Pulaua Pinang wujudnya kereta sakit yang mana ianya bukan sahaja wujud kereta Boba malahan kereta sakit, kereta manyat yang di kumpul melalui dana rakyat dan juga kini wujudnya kereta sakit Lions.
